      <title>Technical Field Advisor</title>
      <description><![CDATA[<p><b><span>SUMMARY - Technical Field Advisor/Engineer</span></b></p><p><span>The Technical Field Advisor/Engineer (TFA) is responsible for performing and supporting field service engineering activities in the installation, modification, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of steam and gas turbines, valves, and auxiliary systems. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and a commitment to safety and quality. The position involves frequent travel and extended work hours during outage maintenance periods.&nbsp;</span></p><p><b><span></span></b></p><p><b><span>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</span></b></p><p>· Perform standard field engineering tasks using established methods, principles, and procedures related to turbine outage maintenance.</p><p>· Direct and assist in installation, repair, analysis, and operation of customer equipment, including steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, exciters, heat transfer systems, and auxiliaries.</p><p>· Apply engineering knowledge to support management, product line engineers, and suppliers.</p><p>· Travel extensively (approximately 70%) by land and/or air to customer sites.</p><p>· Work extended hours during outages, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.</p><p>· Assist technical and non-technical personnel on-site to determine company responsibilities and actions.</p><p><span></span></p><p>· Learn and develop skills to assign work to other technical/professional personnel as needed.</p><p>· Act as floor engineer for outage maintenance on both OEM and non-OEM turbine frames.</p><p>· Interface with customer personnel and vendors on technical matters.</p><p>· Interpret and apply drawings, field procedures, and technical documents for maintenance activities.</p><p>· Prepare and maintain field service documentation, including status reports, timesheets, evaluations, and expense reports.</p><p>· Proficiency in outage planning, vendor coordination, and documentation preparation.</p><p><span>· Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and learn Microsoft Project and SharePoint.</span></p><p><b><span>REQUIREMENTS</span></b></p><p>- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, or a combination of education and relevant experience totaling at least eight (8) years in power plant operations, gas/steam turbine maintenance, or related fields.</p><p>· Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures for turbine outage maintenance.</p><p>· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, contracts, and work scopes.</p><p>· Ability to analyze problems, collect and interpret data, and draw valid conclusions.</p><p>· Experience using scheduling and project management tools.</p><p>· Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all organizational levels and customers.</p><p>· Valid driver’s license and passport.</p><p>· Ability to travel extensively and work extended hours as required.</p><p><b><span>PHYSICAL DEMANDS &amp; WORK ENVIRONMENT</span></b></p><p>At Mitsubishi Power Americas, safety is our top priority and a shared responsibility.       <title>Controls Technician</title>
      <description><![CDATA[<p><b><span>SUMMARY</span></b></p><p><span>This position is responsible for the support of control systems for gas turbines and related equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, the coordination of resources required to successfully implement the requirements of various LTSA contracts from a control's perspective. The Controls Technician is a mid-level technical position that requires capability to perform work assignments on a wide variety of tasks with limited supervision. The Controls Technician must have the capability to make sound recommendations regarding safety, reliability and integrity of the control systems being supported. The Controls Technician will primarily support sites in Alberta and therefore must reside within three hours of Calgary or Edmonton.</span></p><p><b><span>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</span></b></p><p><span></span></p><ul type="disc"> <li><span>Understand and comply with all contract requirements and the Controls Technician responsibilities listed herein;</span></li> <li><span>Have the required knowledge to perform complex troubleshooting of Mitsubishi Netmation control systems;</span></li> <li><span>Capable of supervising subcontractor work on Mitsubishi or other OEM instrumentation and improvement works;</span></li> <li><span>Capable of connecting all temporary monitoring equipment such as CABS, CASS, and CPFM;</span></li> <li><span>Have an understanding of Mitsubishi gas turbine combustion tuning;</span></li> <li><span>Provide start-up commissioning, operations and/or troubleshooting support for equipment failures and determine root cause analysis and implement solutions;</span></li> <li><span>Prepare and submit accurate reports regarding conditions, required actions and obtained results;</span></li> <li><span>Travel to customer plant site(s) for the purpose of planning outage requirements, providing technical direction, and meeting with the customer on all contract issues;</span></li> <li><span>Working with the LTSA Program Manager, understand and follow the history of parts in the units. This includes the hours, starts, and remaining life of parts in the unit and in repair;</span></li> <li><span>Serve as a focal point for the resolution of technical issues;</span></li> <li><span>Track and resolve technical issues within the Netmation control system. Track ancillary system issues.
